Thoughts On Christmas Day

Today has been one of the most wonderful days of the year. My brother baked a birthday cake for Jesus the Christ, he put in a quilt-type blanket with santa claus pictures covering the bottom two sides with a circluar blanket of a wreath atop it. There were three candles, one for the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He made the cake into a Cross by using white frosting and Hershy’s mini-chocolate bars. It came out beautifully! It was my Christmas present.

See, he believes people should live everyday as if it were Christmas. This has been a bone of contention between us ever since…well…forever. I love Christmas. I love the decorations, the smells, the big dinner, and oh yeah, Jesus.

Christmas Day 2008

Christmas Day 2008

That is why I am writing this. I was so caught up in tradition and ‘my way’ that Jesus, while always being my reason for the season, was almost never included in the planning for the day.

This year, we said prayers before we blew out the candles. This is the best Christmas yet!

Now I would like to confess some things. I have not been spending the time I ought in the Word. I am tired of having to somehow read all these e-mails I receive (NOT yours, George!) and then finding the time to rewrite them on my personal site. Why do I feel the obligation to do this? Because I am asked to by the sender.

I have lost myself and my ability to be able (allowed) to do my own researched on the issues that are important to me. I’ve never seen anyone else write about IndoPak peace talks. This is a big deal, but no one had the inclination to write about it. Why not? As I said in my analys, it would make President Bush look good, and we just can’t have that, now can we. The press disgusts me.

(This was just one example on one topic of my writing skills.)

Anyway, I just wanted to share with you the way I used to write articles. Also I want to share with you the fact that I would like to get back to reading my Bible everyday. My bifoculs are finally here, so maybe now I can read easier. That would be wonderful! I would like to write about our current events in a more Christian based way. I hope that does not bother you. If it does, please just let me know. I can also write the same way the New York Times reporters write, but I know you are more interested in a higher standard than that! LOL.

I hope everyone had a very wonderful Christmas, and please remember why we celebrate this day. “For God so loved the world that He gave His One and Only Son so that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but shall have everlasting life.” This is what I pray for you, my readers.

For my Jewish readers, I pray for you a very Happy Chanukkah. For everyone, G-d bless you.

PS. Oops. I fell asleep waiting for help with the pic! lol. That is why this is being posted late. Geez. Have a great day.

May you walk with the LORD always, and when you cannot take another step, may He carry you the rest of the way until you can walk along side Him again.

I would like to recognize those of us who are in distant lands, be they in war zones or right here at home in their own war zone. I pray for all of you God’s protection, love, grace, and mercy. Most of all, I thank you and I thank God. See, you are someone’s son, and Jesus Christ is God’s Son. He came into the world to save it, you are, in a way, honorably trying to protect the rest of us from the terrors of which we shall never understand nor truly appreciate. Thank you so much. Merry Christmas (or Happy Chanukkah) and have a much better new year.

If you’ve noticed I haven’t written since last Tuesday, it’s personal. I’ll be back in full force once the holidays are over. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

This video is disturbing to most of us who do not believe in sending our children – under the age of 18 – to fight in any war. Sure, sometimes a 17 year old may sneak in, but these children have not yet started puberty. That is the first half of Uncle Jimbo’s vidoe. The second half shows the successful rescue of a kidnapped boy who was held for $100,000 ransom. You tell me, who do you think are the good guys and who are the bad? I cannot even believe that is a relevant question!

Al Qaeda Summer Camp for Kids- Blackfive TV.

Uncle Jimbo also has an awesome collection of videos he put together over at Blackfive’s. He starts off with Vets for Freedom- Kate Norley Back to Iraq, and there are eight videos in total. I especially like the 17 minute one. Well, I liked the one about the puppy too, especially when YankeeMom met her at the DC airport. Thank you to all our Patriot Guards, also!

Oh, I almost forgot. You won’t understand my ire until you watch the video. I know many of you may, but I am now referring to those readers who just happened to come upon this article. The Left/Marxists amongst us have a tendency to believe these ‘people’ can be persuaded with ‘talks’. They also claim they deserve the same rights as any other ‘human being’.

That is why I emplore you to watch this 4:10 minute video. If you still believe these animals can be reasoned with, that they are not monsters, I have only one suggestion for you. YOU go talk to them. If per chance you end up in the way of a shell headed for the nosebridge of the monster you are ‘reasoning’ with, oh well. Too bad, so sad, and good riddance.

Our men and women in the Armed Forces are NOTHING like these monsters, and I demand an apology from every Senator and Congressperson and every idiot who ever made the claim that they are. There is a time and a place for everything. When our men and women are out there fighting for our very lives, then we are supposed to remain united. It is the LEFT who are dividing us, and they fooled you into voting them into office. Great job. NOT. We must stop this.

I did not vote for President-elect Obama but when he takes the oath, he will be my president, too. I will feel the same way. I will treat him with the respect due the office, if for no other reason than it is the office. I can say without fear of being wrong, I will treat him one helluva lot better than the opposition has EVER treated PRESIDENT George W. Bush. If you want to know the difference between a Conservative and a Communist Leftist, there is one for ya.

I say this because I am angry. I angry because we are in a global war which half of America refuses to acknowledge, and some of the half that does seems to be forgetting why we fighting in the first place. That puts my life at risk and that gives me the right speak up about it. Heck, just being an American gives me the right, but I am a Conservative. I don’t like sticking my nose in where it does not belong. Unlike the LEFTIST MARXISTS amongst us…Have a nice day.

May you walk with the LORD always, and when you cannot take another step, may He carry you the rest of the way until you can walk along side Him again.

The group of Vets For Freedom is very actively trying to get their message to public so you can know the truth the dinosaur media refuses to tell. They have news reports, actions that you may participate in to help, videos, and a special section for American Patriot Heroes. Today I will share with you one of those Heroes. (The writing below is done by Vets For Freedom.)

Joe Dan “Doc” Worley.

On September 17, 2004, while on patrol with Marines from the 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, in Fallujah, Iraq, an IED exploded into a humvee killing a Marine and an Iraqi Interpreter. Not even 10 days prior, his former platoon had seven Marines killed in action when a vehicle borne IED drove into their patrol. The attrition from the blast was so severe that the platoon, known as Pale Rider Three, would be disbanded and the surviving Marines sent to other platoons in Fox Company.

Immediately reacting to the explosion, Doc Worley went into automatic pilot. No one needed to explain to this Corpsman the importance of his job after an enemy attack. Worley grabbed his aid bag and took off toward the thick smoke, preparing himself for the worst-case scenario of this close quarters explosion.

As Worley sprinted across a bridge, a secondary IED exploded only a few feet away from him, ripping off his left leg instantly. Experiencing mind-numbing pain throughout his entire body, Worley began to assess his own condition, something he had done countless times for others. He put himself through the life saving aid procedures as he had so many other times to others, when there were too many injured for one Corpsman to handle. Worley applied a tourniquet just above his own left knee, an extremely painful procedure that was vital in saving his own life. [Continue reading at the Veterans For Freedom.]

These are truly remarkable men and women, and we owe them more than we could ever repay. That is why we must do everything in our power to help by volunteering at the Veterans Administration Hospitals in our area, and we must prevent the wacked out nuts who would rather destroy our country and turn it over to al Qaida than to stand up and fight for their rights themselves. Shameful, but true. We must not fret, however. We must decide to take a stand, and stand. Have a nice day.

May you walk with the LORD always, and when you cannot take another step, may He carry you the rest of the way until you can walk along side Him again.

Senator Barack Obama (video) continues to deny the surge has worked, even though most Americans recognize the FACT that it has. The same is believed by vice-presidential candidate Senator Joe Biden. (Video may be viewed at MSNBC.)

This is why Vets For Freedom is making a point of getting everyone in Congress on the record as to whether or not they believe the surge has worked. We deserve to know where our elected officials stand and how they determine foreign policy issues. If they cannot concede to this success, do we really want Sen. Obama to be Commander-in-Chief?

There is a new video that the Vets For Freedom have made. It is a very good one, and all they are doing is asking Congress to support Senate bill 636. They want to make sure our men and women are given the opportunity to win each battleground area, to be supported, to succeed. In essense, they want the Congress not to change their minds halfway through a war that they’ve sent REAL LIVE people into harms way. Never again…here is the link: Success is Relevant, Senator.

If you could please put pressure on our supposed elected officials, here are some suggestions to get you started. Remember, whenever addressing members of the government, BE POLITE no matter how much of an a**hole they are. 😉

Vets for Freedom has launched our “Truth about the Surge” media and grassroots campaign. The campaign is intended to inform the American public, and key lawmakers, about the undeniable success that our troops have achieved as a result of the surge, and the importance of ensuring victory in Iraq, Afghanistan and the overall Global War on Terrorism.

In the coming weeks our objectives are twofold:

Tell your members of Congress to support the surge and our troops by supporting Senate Resolution 636 and creating a similar resolution in the House. We need your help, call your member, write a Letter to the editor and spread the word about the success of the surge and importance of ‘walking the walk’ and showing their support by voting yes for Senate Resolution 636.

Click Here (.pdf) to view a Dear Colleague letter from Senators Graham and Lieberman for SR 636.

Telling your friends and neighbors the importance of the surge and missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. The American people have the right to know that we are and with your help will WIN the war in Iraq. The surge has worked and we need you to help spread the word.

“Truth about the Surge” will only succeed if our members are willing to volunteer their time. But isn’t this the least we can do, with our fellow Soldiers, Marines, Airman, and Sailors still serving overseas? We need you to volunteer to write Letters to the Editor, attend events, make phone calls, call into local radio shows, and exploit targets of opportunity. We will be running TV ads in most of these states as well to further spread the message.

What do you mean, ‘What is Sen. Res. 636’? I did not explain it? D’oh! 😉

Update: Before I give the Senate resolution, let me please implore you to make 10 phone calls. Eight will be to people whom we have a strong sense that we will co-sponsor this bill, and two will be to your own Senators. Here is the toll free number: 1-866-340-9281. Here is what you should ask:

1. Please be a “co–sponsor” of Senate Resolution 636.
2. Please do whatever you can to bring the Resolution to the Senate floor for a vote.
3. Please the courage to vote “yes”–on the record—about the success of the surge.

Every U.S Senator needs to hear from Iraq & Afghanistan veterans, and those who support them, about the importance of praising our troops for all they have accomplished.

Here are the names and numbers of the eight people you should contact:

Susan Collins (R-ME) – 202.224.2523
John Warner (R-VA) – 202.224.2023
Judd Gregg (R-NH) – 202.224.3324
Chuck Hagel (R-NE) – 202.224.4224
Gordon Smith (R-OR) – 202.224.3753
Olympia Snowe (R-ME) – 202.224.5344
Arlen Specter (R-PA) – 202.224.4254
George Voinovich (R-OH) – 202.224.3353

Your 2 Senators. Follow this link for a directory of all U.S. Senators.

Thank you for your help. It is so much appreciated. Now here is the Senate Resolution 636.

SRES 636 IS

110th CONGRESS
2d Session
S. RES. 636

Recognizing the strategic success of the troop surge in Iraq and expressing gratitude to the members of the United States Armed Forces who made that success possible.

IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATESJuly 31, 2008

Mr. LIEBERMAN (for himself, Mr. GRAHAM, Mr. MCCAIN, Mr. ENZI, Mr. MARTINEZ, Mr. BOND, Mr. WICKER, Mr. CORNYN, Mr. CRAPO, Mr. ALLARD, Mr. THUNE, Mr. BARRASSO, and Mr. INHOFE) submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on Armed Services
————————————————–

RESOLUTION

Recognizing the strategic success of the troop surge in Iraq and expressing gratitude to the members of the United States Armed Forces who made that success possible.

Whereas, by the end of 2006, it had become clear that, despite exceptional efforts and sacrifices on the part of the United States Armed Forces in Iraq, the United States was pursuing a failed strategy in Iraq;

Whereas, by the end of 2006, large-scale sectarian violence was accelerating throughout Iraq, al Qaeda had established significant safe havens there, militias sponsored by the Government of Iran had seized effective control of large swaths of Iraq, and the Government of Iraq was suffering from political paralysis;

Whereas, by the end of 2006, insurgents and death squads were killing more than 3,000 civilians in Iraq each month and coalition forces were sustaining more than 1,200 attacks each week;

Whereas, in December 2006, the Iraq Study Group warned that `the United States is facing one of its most difficult and significant international challenges in decades’ in Iraq and that `Iraq is vital to regional and even global stability, and is critical to U.S. interests’;

Whereas, in December 2004, Osama bin Laden said the following of the war in Iraq: `The most important and serious issue today for the whole world is this Third World War. . . . The world’s millstone and pillar is Baghdad, the capital of the caliphate.’;

Whereas, on January 10, 2007, in an address to the Nation, President George W. Bush acknowledged that the situation in Iraq was `unacceptable’ and announced his intention to put in place a new strategy, subsequently known as `the surge’;

Whereas President Bush nominated and the Senate confirmed General David H. Petraeus as the Commander of Multi-National Forces–Iraq, a position he assumed on February 10, 2007;

Whereas General Petraeus, upon assuming command, and in partnership with Lieutenant General Raymond Odierno, the Commander of Multi-National Corps–Iraq, and United States Ambassador to Iraq Ryan Crocker, developed a comprehensive civil-military counterinsurgency campaign plan to reverse Iraq’s slide into chaos, defeat the enemies of the United States in Iraq, and, in partnership with the Iraqi Security Forces and the Government of Iraq, reestablish security across the country;

Whereas, under the previous strategy, the overwhelming majority of United States combat forces were concentrated on a small number of large forward operating bases and were not assigned the mission of providing security for the people of Iraq against insurgents, terrorists, and militia fighters, in part because there were insufficient members of the United States Armed Forces in Iraq to do so;

Whereas, as an integral component of the surge, approximately 5 additional United States Army brigades and 2 United States Marine Corps battalions were deployed to Iraq;

Whereas, as an integral component of the surge, members of the United States Armed Forces were deployed out of large forward operating bases onto small bases throughout Baghdad and other key population centers, partnering with the Iraqi Security Forces to provide security for the local population against insurgents, terrorists, and militia fighters;

Whereas additional members of the United States Armed Forces began moving into Iraq in January 2007 and reached full strength in June 2007;

Whereas, as a consequence of the additional forces needed in Iraq, in April 2007 the United States Army added 3 months to the standard year-long tour for all active duty soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the United States Marine Corps added 3 months to the standard 6-month tour for all active duty Marines in Iraq and Afghanistan;

Whereas, as an integral component of the surge, members of the United States Armed Forces began simultaneous and successive offensive operations, in partnership with the Iraqi Security Forces, of unprecedented breadth, continuity, and sophistication, striking multiple enemy safe havens and lines of communication at the same time;

Whereas, as an integral component of the surge, additional members of the United States Armed Forces were deployed to Anbar province to provide essential support to the nascent tribal revolt against al Qaeda in that province;

Whereas those additional members of the United States Armed Forces played a critical role in the success and spread of anti-Qaeda Sunni tribal groups in Anbar province and subsequently in other regions of Iraq;

Whereas, since the start of the surge in January 2007, there have been marked and hopeful improvements in almost every political, security, and economic indicator in Iraq;

Whereas, in 2007, General Petraeus described Iraq as `the central front of al Qaeda’s global campaign’;

Whereas, in 2008, as a consequence of the success of the surge, al Qaeda has been dealt what Director of Central Intelligence Michael Hayden assesses as a `near strategic defeat’ in Iraq;

Whereas, as a consequence of the success of the surge, militias backed by the Government of Iran have been routed from major population centers in Iraq and no longer control significant swaths of territory;

Whereas, as a consequence of the success of the surge, sectarian violence in Iraq has fallen dramatically and has been almost entirely eliminated;

Whereas, as a consequence of the success of the surge, overall insurgent attacks have fallen by approximately 80 percent since June 2007 and are at their lowest level since March 2004;

Whereas, as a consequence of the success of the surge, United States casualties in Iraq have dropped dramatically and United States combat deaths in Iraq in July 2008 were lower than in any other month since the beginning of the war;

Whereas, as a consequence of the success of the surge, the Government of Iraq has made significant strides in advancing sectarian reconciliation and achieving political progress, including the passage of key benchmark legislation;

Whereas, as a consequence of the success of the surge, the Iraqi Security Forces have improved markedly and approximately 70 percent of Iraqi combat battalions are now leading operations in their areas; and

Whereas, as a consequence of the success of the surge, General Petraeus concluded in 2008 that conditions on the ground in Iraq could permit the additional brigades and battalions dispatched to Iraq in 2007 as part of the surge to be safely redeployed without replacement, and all such brigades and battalions have been successfully withdrawn without replacement: Now, therefore, be it

Resolved, That the Senate–

(1) commends and expresses its gratitude to the men and women of the United States Armed Forces for the service, sacrifices, and heroism that made the success of the troop surge in Iraq possible;

(2) commends and expresses its gratitude to General David H. Petraeus, General Raymond Odierno, and Ambassador Ryan Crocker for the distinguished wartime leadership that made the success of the troop surge in Iraq possible;

(3) recognizes the success of the troop surge in Iraq and its strategic significance in advancing the vital national interests of the United States in Iraq, the Middle East, and the world, in particular as a strategic victory in a central front of the war on terrorism; and

(4) recognizes that the hard-won gains achieved as a result of the troop surge in Iraq are significant but not yet permanent and that it is imperative that no action be taken that jeopardizes those gains or dishonors the service and sacrifice of the men and women of the United States Armed Forces who made those gains possible.

The Fog(s) Of A Coming War?

I do not understand what is going on inside of my head, but it appears (factually) that I’ve forgotten my responsibility to have a post ready again. It is not for the lack of trying. I have been paying very close attention to the situations in Georgia/USSR relations (ha) and the Chinese arresting journalists, protesters, and just about anyone they don’t like…which is everyone.

This cease-fire agreement between Georgia and the Soviets, brokered by France’s president and Condi Rice is a joke. All the Soviets have to do is move back to the two cities they first invaded inside Georgia? That’s bunk.

If we do not confront the Soviets now on our terms, we will confront them later on their terms. This would include much blood and God only knows how many lives. If you do not stop an idealogue bully before they get started and they sense your unwillingness to do anything, we could end up in another world war.

I’ve heard people say, “The Military is stretched too thin.” Oh? We have 300,000,000+ people living here, and we’re stretched too thin? Let me just throw this out there. If worse comes to worse, I don’t want to hear any whining from the usual suspects. I want them to line up for duty and get off the freakin’ dole, or get out of America.

Yeah, I said it. What are you going to about it? This is my country, which I love, we’re talking about. You don’t appreciate freedom? You’ve never lost it. You don’t appreciate liberty? You’ve never known its sweetness, nor appreciated it. That’s right. When it comes down to saving our country against ALL enemies foreign AND domestic, it is also the duty of the sovereign individuals of our great country to pony up.

Why am I so pessimistic and dire about the situation with the USSR? (Before you ask, it is my freedom of speech to call them what they are.) Do you remember WWI and WWII? These could have been prevented. Hitler gave us many chances to stop his sorry butt. What did we do? We gave him the Olympics.

Speaking of China, why in the world did President Bush stay there when Georgia was invaded? Even more, why did he go in the first place? Does he not realize that China is also a threat to us? Does anyone remember the Cox Report? Never heard of it? It was considered Classified until May 1999, and here is the Final Report. Educate yourselves, just like I need to do constantly.

Aside from the Chinese theft of our nuclear secrets, they also care not one wit towards their people. Why should we care about this? We have come to learn that if a country does not care a wit how they treat their own people, you can predetermine that they care even less how they will treat any prisoners of war. It’s laughable the way people cackle at the treatment we use toward enemy combatants AS DEFINED IN THE GENEVA CONVENTION. We go too far and above what is called for as far as fairness goes. IMHO.

Another reason I hate China. Tiananmen Square. ‘Nuf said.

But then again, that’s just my opinion…

I’ve been doing some soul-searching as of late, and I’ve come to the conclusion that we are never going to move forward as long as we allow the politicians and ourselves to politicize our Troops. They come from ever State, every religion, every background, every ethnicity, etc. It is not fair to lump them all into one box and only see them as one constituency.

I would really like to have discussions about the best way to deal with situations that are right in front of us. I would also like to discuss those areas of concern, which are not right in front of us. Say perhaps, China, which may become important. I would like to be able to speak with everyone on the political spectrum as though we were all considering what is in the best interest for America. That includes our Troops, in my humble opinion.

Why is this important? It is important because we all need to pull together during a time of great disruption and war. It seems as though the only people’s lives that have been affected during this war we are in trying to defeat the jihadis is the Troops and their families.

Yes, there are many who support the Troops and even some who may suffer a tiny pinch in their wallets doing for them what they can as far sending care packages, etc. But is that really feeling the pinch? The stress? The pressure? The loneliness? The fear? The sense of satisfaction after a successful mission well done? Do we even know how they have built over 3000 schools and hospitals?

Do they know how many al Qaida have been removed from the battlefield, never to return? Do they care anymore? Does anyone remember there is still an ongoing war that we did NOT start? No, half the country does not, because it has become political.

Once any topic becomes political, most Americans prefer to tune out of the conversation. This is not good for America or her interests. This is why I recommend, as hard as it may be, that we return to a non-political, non-partisan site at the Talon. I would like it to be a place where people may come to find news without all the political stuff they’re tired of hearing.

We do want them to care. We do want them to be informed. We do want them to get involved. Therefore we must try our best not to offend them and insult their intelligence. I know I do not like it when the Left does it to me, and it just isn’t right.

If someone calls us ‘right-winged whack jobs’, we tune out automatically. At least I do, because I know whatever comes next is biased, untrue, tainted, and on and on. How do we think this effects our readers? At least the other half? If we really want them to understand and have a dialogue with us, we must first show them respect. Why? Because they are also Americans. Isn’t that enough reason?

Off Topic: Mind you, I’ve been offline for approximately 30 hours now, and you won’t know this until way after this is due. Apparently my ISP is having a problem, and they won’t be able to send someone to my home until August 13! Oh my God, I’m going to lose my mind! 😉

This is more than a correction, because I crossed the line. I used language that was hurtful and uncalled for, and I jumped the gun on an article I wrote before having all the facts. I will not put on a defense, because there is none. What I can do is to stop name calling, keep my research links to every article with the article (so it’s easier to find), and be more respectful to everyone.

This is what I had previously written (with an update):

There has been an issue that came up recently, and people who do not know the difference can very easily be taken by this. MOPH stands for Military Order of the Purple Heart (and it is led by fellow Eagle and Special Forces soldier Henry Cook of Shreveport, LA), and MOPH Services Foundation stands for FRAUD another group who works to help our Soldiers as well, although it is not related to the Military in anyway.

Henry received word of this, and this is the result:

Larry Bailey:

A late follow up—Dick Esau, the Executive Director of the MOPH service Foundation was terminated on July 7, 2008—it seems that embezzlement is in the air too. More to follow. But this basic fact needs to get out to all veterans–

Yours in Patriotism,
De Oppresso Liber
Henry J. Cook, III

I want everyone to know about this, and please know that this situation is going to be corrected. You have people watching your back all over the place. We may not be out there on the battlefield with you, but I swear to do all I can stateside for as long I’m alive. God bless you all!

After reading this, you will see that only one person was relieved of their job. That should not tarnish the whole organization. Not the way I did. I understand I can get carried away when it comes to our Military men and women, but I should at least give them time to straighten out their own affairs. Otherwise, I end up hurting the rest of the people who are doing good things to help our men and women. We are on the same team. I get so upset when other people jump the gun. So I hope you can understand the deep regret, disappointment, and sorrow I truly feel. This deserves much more than a correction, this deserves an apology. I apologize. Please forgive me, and have a nice day.

I re-posted it here, because I posted it here first. It is only fair for you to see my error in judgement.

For many years I have been arguing that the dollar is not the guiding force behind the American Dream. It is only a result of it. Allow me to explain.

America was founded upon an idea. The idea all men are created equal. The idea that Life, Liberty and Private Property were essential and attainable only by a free society governed by those chosen by the people to represent them. Ideas are powerful things which need vigilant defending. Especially when they are as good as ours are. Those ideals were and are the fact that we are individuals, responsible for ourselves, we have the capacity to dream and to fulfill those dreams or at least try, we strive for goodness, we know men are of an evil heart so we do not leave any power in the hand of one person, we have ownership of property of the people not the government (although you’d never know it today), and along with all these ideals we have responsibilities that come alongside them.

The only thing I mentioned that costs money is the private property. That is the fruits of the freedom we possess because some people sacrificed their home comforts and went to fight for them. We did not get here freely, and we shall not remain here freely. We all owe a debt to one another to do our very best to do whatever it takes to remain free. Let’s face it. If we are not free, what good is all the money in the world?

So where is this leading to? Glad you asked. Wealth is not about money. Not in my book. In my book, this is what wealth is. I have a family that knows me and still puts up with me anyway because they love me, I have a roof over my head and food in my belly, I have everything I need and most of the things I desire, and I am equal to Bill Gates. I live in a country where I can strive to attain this or that, I have so many rights because they were given by God, and I am able to worship my Christian God as I choose. Show me another country with all of this! I dare you.

How did this country come to offer such freedoms and rights? Through wars. Many wars, some declared but most not. This is not the first time we’ve had a run in with Islamo nuts. Does anyone remember the Barbary Coast? They were Muslims! Jefferson finally stood up to them, and we became famous for our Navy. (Okay, so I would like to think so.) Actually, they were stealing our trading ships, and we refused to pay the ransom. We went and took back our men, and that was the end to that.

NOT LIKE TODAY when Israel trades dead bodies for terrorists to appease a world that doesn’t give a crap about you in the first place. They will not change their minds, because we are their enemies. They have declared war against us, and if you’re not going to get on board, then get out of the way and let our men FIGHT.

War is not pretty. It is not courteous. It is not civilized. So stopped expecting this from men who have been trained to handle these monsters. More men have died because of political correctness than anything else, and I, for one, am sick to death of it.

Our country IS worth fighting for, as we are in battle with them now. The one thing I would change about this whole scenario is that I would abolish the force behind the onslaught of murders, beheadings, rapes, hangings, genital mutilation, etc. Islam appears to fit the bill. We did it when we came here, we did it in Japan. Why can’t we do it there? Don’t tell me we’re afraid, because we’re not. It is not a religion of peace, it is a political war tool. As long as we fight as if they are equal, as if they read the geneva convention, they are going to win. That is the one thing I will not, cannot, stand for!

What does this have to do with money? Ask the politicians! They can tell you how much we spend every month, and they can also tell you what they would prefer to spend that money on. Funny thing though. If we were not at war, there would NOT be this money. So please, tell me Sen. Obama and Sen. McCain, where would you get the money from because I’m sure not going to give it to you! It may be your god, but it certainly is not mine.

PS. Don’t forget, the money we are spending for gas is going into the pockets of the terrorists indirectly. Are you walking when it is possible? The exercise is good for you. I have walked ever since my car was stolen. Long story, not going to tell it. How’s that for short? lol.

The accelerant that lit my beehive was that the banks are accepting money in a way that this group claims is under Sharia law. However I couldn’t find the basis for this fact. (Maybe this has something about Sharia law.) It still burns me up inside. If it is true, then they should all be shut down in my humble opinion. This is why I say we must rid this scourge from the face of the earth. I am not referring to the people who follow it, unless they are jihadis. Of course not. But if they don’t choose America above this scourge, then get them out of here.

There is another article about a mole. It speaks about all the arrests of people who have already been allowed into this country, some are not even citizens and they have been HIRED by our own government and had access to sensitive secrets. Just what the heck is going on over in the State Department?! Oh yeah, diversity is their priority. Living just happens to be one of mine!

PSS. Remember this. We can serve one master. Some people believe in global warming as if it were their master, some people believe there is no God as their master. My master is the Lord Jesus Christ. Through Him, I can do everything, and I live in a land that was built on this principle along with the tenents of Christianity and the Ten Commandments. Thank GOD!

That is the only reason I can understand the ruling of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Apparently, they believe they are more apt to run a war than the Admirals themselves, and this decision proves them so vastly wrong.

Even Justice Kennedy couldn’t swallow this one:

Under the guidance of Anthony Kennedy, the Supremes have lately taken to arrogating war powers to themselves. (See here.) But even Justice Kennedy may blanch at National Resources Defense Council v. Winter. In that case, the Ninth Circuit ruled that preparing the Navy to fight in a time of war was not an “emergency,” and that our sailors must stop training lest their sonar harm . . . whales.

Just tipping you off as to what to watch for in the next round of SCOTUS decisions. There is a possibility this will never be decided, but the Supremes have decided to at least hear it. That is a step in the right direction.

This should also give us pause to consider who we vote for when we vote. I am not endorsing anyone here, I am just suggesting that we try to find out as much as we can about their policies – especially in matters such as judges – so that we may make an informed decision.

I have just one question really. If we are in a war and need to practice and train, and this is not considered an emergency; what, pray tell, is?
