It has been 10 months in the coming, but the Supreme Court of Kansas has finally made the announcement that they will hear arguements in the case of the State v. Planned Parenthood. The claim is that planned parenthood has criminally performed abortions and hidden the records, if they kept any at all. They have been performing late-term abortions without checking viability. After 10 Months of Stalling, KS Supreme Court Will Hear Arguments In Planned Parenthood Criminal Case

Topeka, KS – The Kansas Supreme Court has announced that it will hear oral arguments in the criminal case against a Kansas Planned Parenthood organization on Wednesday, May 13, 2009. The arguments will be related to an appeal filed by former District Attorney Phill Kline of a ruling made by Judge Stephen Tatum rejecting four of Kline’s subpoenas and other matters related to the case.

Kline charged Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid-Missouri with 107 criminal counts, which included 23 felonies, in October, 2007. The charges include illegal late-term abortions, failure to determine viability for late-term abortions, failure to maintain records, and filing false information related to late-term abortions. One brief filed in the case included documents that provided convincing proof that Planned Parenthood violated the law, then lied about it.

Since then, Johnson County has elected a new District Attorney, Steve Howe, who has remained quiet on his plans, if any, for the prosecution. Howe, who claims to be pro-life, is not trusted by much of the pro-life community because of his fierce opposition to Kline and lack of any tangible pro-life record. His close association with former DA and Attorney General Paul Morrison, an ardent abortion supporter who was forced to resign as AG amid a sex and abortion corruption scandal, makes him even more suspect.

This is the first movement on the Planned Parenthood case in ten months. The case had been stalled while the KS Supreme Court pondered the appeals.

“The Kansas Supreme Court has a history of reluctantly upholding subpoenas issued by Kline, and we are expectant that this will be the case now,” said Operation Rescue Senior Policy Advisor Cheryl Sullenger. “We monitoring this case closely and are interested to see if Mr. Howe steps up and enforces the law, or follows in Morrison’s footsteps and attempts to torpedo Kline’s case.”

“After ten months of stalling, it is past time for this case to move forward. In the event that Planned Parenthood is guilty of these crimes, it is hard to imagine how many more women have been subjected to illegal acts and how many viable babies have wrongly died while the Courts delay,” said Sullenger. “Their lack of a sense of urgency betrays their lack of concern for the lives of the victims.”

Tomorrow the Senate will be having a vote for Kathleen Sebelius. It is not too late to stop this from being successful.

Secretary of Human Services is coming down to its final hours. We have received word from the Senate that they will be debating and voting on her nomination tomorrow, Tuesday April 28th.

Governor Sebelius has shown an unwillingness to back down from her extreme pro-abortion agenda. Just this past Thursday, Governor Sebelius vetoed “The 2009 Late-Term and Partial-Birth Abortion Regulation Act” in Kansas that would have put important restrictions on the abortion industry.

Once again Kathleen Sebelius has sided with her abortion clinic friends like George Tiller rather than act to protect women and children from the particularly horrific practices of partial birth and late term abortions.

Write your Senators today and once again urge them to vote NO on Kathleen Sebelius.

As governor, Sebelius has repeatedly vetoed other common-sense restrictions on the abortion industry like the Comprehensive Abortion Reform Act, which would have implemented restrictions on late-term abortion procedures. She has opposed or vetoed several abortion-accountability bills, including legislation that would have required medically-supported clinic regulation. She has also vetoed legislation requiring explicit medical reasons for post-viability, late-term abortions.

It is bad enough that Kathleen Sebelius has pushed her abortion agenda on Kansas. We cannot allow Sebelius’ radical pro-abortion agenda to be implemented for the whole country.

This fight is now more crucial than ever as opposition to Sebelius grows. Please tell your Senators to join the growing chorus of opposition to Kathleen Sebelius!

This is shocking. To threaten people who are charged with the care of our children with a lawsuit for violating the rights of these horrible men who prey on our young girls and get them pregnant and are pushed into seeking an abortion or to hide a rape without letting the parents know so they can take proper actions to protect their children, this is criminal in and of itself. I find this appalling. This school is trying to keep parents aware and giving them the right and foresight to consent.

ACLU Urges Vista Unified To Change Parental Notification.

Two legal groups are asking the Vista Unified School District to change a controversial policy that requires teenagers to get parental consent to leave campus for confidential medical services. KPBS Reporter Ana Tintocalis has more.

The ACLU of San Diego County and the National Center for Youth Law sent a letter to the Vista school board, pointing out their current policy violates state law.

Lawyers say California allows young people to leave campus without telling their parents to deal with a reproductive health matter, sexual, mental or substance abuse issues.

But Vista school trustees say the law allows some room for interpretation and they want to clarify that parents DO have to be notified.

The ACLU’s David Blair Loy says Vista is opening itself up to serious.

“Any public entity, school district, city government is actively breaking the law or enacts a policy that violates the law is open to litigation to strike down the policy,” Blair Loy said.

And Blair Loy says the ACLU will consider litigation if the Vista keeps the policy.

Does anyone besides myself see the fallacy in these arguments? Why is it mostly men who have always backed these policies? Get a girl pregnant, kill the child. That way they don’t have to pay any child support or ruin their marriage because they were having an affair. My oh my, how low we have sunk in our acclamation towards Liberty.

It certainly isn’t donned upon the weakest of us, so the strongest of us must soon be afraid, very afraid, that they will lose their Liberty shortly. After all, if we do not protect the youngest and weakest amongst us, we shall most certainly deserve to lose our Liberty as well. Ask the Germans of the 1940’s…

It’s awfully hard to enjoy the other rights when the people have decided (by judicial fiat and constitutional ignorance) to allow the right to life be perverted by the public in their policies. These are not man (OR WOMAN) given rights, therefore governments nor people may vote them out of existence. WAKE UP! We have been committing genocide against our children for too long. How long will this go on? Until the people rise up and revolt against this injustice. Which side of this war will you be on?

Below is a press release from my friend who works for Radio Free Asia, and this is a terrible repose of the condition of humanity. My hope is that this can be put on the ash heap of history, just as slavery, communism, nazism, fascism, child abuse, and all other atrocities done by man in the name of ‘the social good’. It is far from good under any name.


HONG KONG — Arzigul Tursun, six months pregnant with her third child, is under guard in a hospital in China’s northwestern Xinjiang region, scheduled to undergo an abortion against her will because authorities say she is entitled to only two children.

As a member of the predominantly Muslim Uyghur minority, Tursun is legally permitted to more than the one child allowed most people in China. But when word of a third pregnancy reached local authorities, they coerced her into the hospital for an abortion, her husband told Radio Free Asia (RFA). “Arzigul is being kept in bed number three,” a nurse in the women’s section at Gulja’s Water Gate Hospital said in a telephone interview with RFA’s Uyghur service. “We will give an injection first. Then she will experience abdominal pain, and the baby will come out by itself. But we haven’t given her any injection yet—we are waiting for instructions from the doctors.”

China’s one-child-per-family policy applies mainly to majority Han Chinese but allows ethnic minorities, including Uyghurs, to have additional children, with peasants permitted to have three children and city-dwellers two. But while Tursun is a peasant, her husband, Nurmemet Tohtasin, is from the city of Gulja [in Chinese, Yining] so their status is unclear. The couple live with their two children in Bulaq village, Dadamtu township, in Gulja.

Their experience sheds rare light on how China’s one-child policy is enforced in remote parts of the country, through fines, financial incentives, and heavy-handed coercion by zealous local officials eager to meet population targets set by cadres higher up. “My wife is being kept in the hospital—village officials are guarding her,” Tohtisin said before authorities directed him late Thursday to switch off his mobile phone. “When she fled the village to avoid abortion, police and Party officials, and the family planning committee officials, all came and interrogated us,” he said. “The deputy chief of the village, a Chinese woman named Wei Yenhua, threatened that if we didn’t find Arzigul and bring her to the village, she would confiscate our land and all our property.”

Steep fines

On Nov. 11, Tohtisin said, an official named Rashide from the village family planning committee came to their home and escorted the couple, along with Arzigul’s father, to the Gulja’s municipal Water Gate Hospital. There, Tohtisin said, he was pressured into signing forms authorizing an abortion. “The abortion should be carried out because according to the family planning policy of China, you’re not allowed to have more children than the government has regulated. Therefore she should undergo an abortion. This is their third child. She is 6-1/2 months pregnant now,” Rashide said.

“If her health is normal, then the abortion will definitely take place. Otherwise they have to pay a fine in the amount of 45,000 yuan (U.S. $6,590)—that’s a lot of money, and they won’t have it,” she added. Tursun’s abortion was originally scheduled for Thursday, but hospital authorities said they had postponed it until Monday after numerous calls from local and exiled Uyghurs. Officials then told her husband to switch off his mobile phone and stop making calls.

Carrots and sticks

According to the official news agency, Xinhua, Uyghurs in the countryside are permitted three children while city-dwellers may have two. Under “special circumstances,” rural families are permitted one more child, although what constitutes special circumstances was unclear. The government also uses financial incentives and disincentives to keep the birthrate low. Couples can also pay steep fines to have more children, although the fines are well beyond most people’s means.

The official Web site China Xinjiang Web reports that in Kashgar, Hotan, and Kizilsu [in Chinese, Kezilesu], areas populated almost entirely by Uyghurs, women over 49 with only one child are entitled to a one-time payment of 3,000 yuan (U.S. $440), with the couple receiving 600 yuan (U.S. $88) yearly afterward.

China’s official Tianshan Net reported that population control policies in Xinjiang have prevented the births of some 3.7 million people over the last 30 years. And according to China Xinjiang Web on Sept. 26, 2008, the government will spend 25.6 million yuan (U.S. $3.7 million) this year rewarding families who have followed the population policy.

The one-child policy is enforced more strictly in cities, but penalties for exceeding a family’s quota can be severe, including job losses, demotions, or expulsion from the Party, experts say. Officials at all levels are subject to rewards or penalties based on whether they meet population targets set by their administrative region.Citizens are legally entitled to sue officials who they believe have overstepped their authority in enforcing the policy.

Congressional appeal

In Washington, Rep. Chris Smith, a Republican from New Jersey in the U.S. House of Representatives, appealed on Thursday to Chinese Ambassador Zhou Wenzhong to intervene. “Human rights groups and the U.S. government will be watching very carefully to see what happens to Arzigul and her family,” Smith, senior member of the Congressional-Executive Commission on China, said in a statement. “I appeal to the Chinese government not to forcibly abort Arzigul.”

Tense relations

Relations between Chinese authorities and the Uyghur population have a long and tense history. Uyghurs formed two short-lived East Turkestan republics in the 1930s and 40s during the Chinese civil war and the Japanese invasion. But China subsequently took control of the region, and Beijing has in recent years launched a campaign against Uyghur separatism, which it regards as a war on Islamic terrorism. It has also accused “hostile forces” in the West of fomenting unrest in the strategically important and resource-rich region, which borders several countries in Central Asia.

Here is a new video by a woman who survived an attempted abortion. If Barack Obama had his way, she would have had to die.

I do not believe this what he meant he when decided to murder those other children. I do believe he wanted to protect bad judgement which has never been put the good people of these here US of A. That is why he is having such a difficult time trying to convince himself that when a child is born during an abortion and is left to die, this is a hard decision a human being.

We know full well that this is exactly what Ms. Sanger had planned for all African born babies. If Barack Obama is not bothered by this, then he ought to be!

I honestly believe he just doesn’t want to upset anyone in his voting block. It is a sad shame that babies cannot vote…

I have a story and a video preview of a true story about a woman who gave birth to her 22 week old son, and she received no help at all in this abortion clinic. He lived for 11 minutes, and he died in his mother’s arms as she locked herself in a bathroom to wait for the police and an ambulance.

No one would help her? Medical people take an oath to do no harm. What happened to this oath?

Angele told WND, she delivered the baby alive in a restroom at the clinic and said her cries for help went unheeded by the medical staff, even when an employee saw that the tiny boy was moving.

Angele said she ran to a phone outside the clinic to call a friend for help, then curled up with her son for the full 11 minutes of his short life after birth. She bathed the baby, whom she named Rowan, and cut his umbilical cord. After medical staff demanded she surrender her son’s body, she blocked the door to keep them away and stayed trapped in the bathroom, praying and weeping, until the police arrived, she said.

She changed her mind about having an abortion, movingand wanted to keep him after seeing how perfectly he was formed, but she was forced to let him die because the medical staff denied her care.

The reason I put ‘these’ around planned parenthood is that this clinic is using a name that does not make it clear if it is planned parenthood or not. However, there is no clinic open today that does not have ties with planned parenthood. Odd, isn’t it? ‘Planned Parenthood.’ Shouldn’t they call themselves, ‘Planned Parentless’?
