This Independence Day we had another Tea Party, America’s Freedom-Long Beach Tea Party, and it was the tops. I learned many thing from the April 15th Tea Party, and I tried to fix those mistakes. Well, on paper I did, but in really things just flowed smoothly even though I was disorganized. I forgot to plan for people not showing up on time.

The Tea Party was scheduled for Independence Day, 12-3pm at 130 Cherry Ave, Bixby Park, Long Beach, California 90802, and it lasted about 2 hours at its peak, 3 hours altogether. Here is the schedule of events as they really happened, not the one I had planned. Although it was pretty close.

It was marvelous to see 110 people come to our Tea Party in liberal Long Beach, California. Everyone was so thoughtful and helpful. Roxanna bought a helium pump for the balloons which worked perfectly. If you could have been there to see the expressions on the children’s faces as we freely gave them balloons! No, they were not part of the Tea Party but being the Conservatives that we are, we love children. Of course we did ask their parents first if we could give them to their children. They were so happy.

Most of the people signed in this time, however many people came as the Tea Party was in progress. My brother counted 50, and 60 people signed in. They were energetic, patriotic, helpful in many ways, cheerful, and it was a very pleasant experience. They were also tired and fed-up with being overtaxed, paying for other people’s bailouts, this enormous health care boondoggle which threatens our very good system and will make the fraud in Medicare and Medicaid look like chump-change. Yes, there was much to discuss.

We began with Barbee singing “God Bless America” and everyone joined in. It was beautiful. She has a delightful voice. Then we said the Pledge of Allegiance, and we even dared to use the words IN GOD. Oh my. Then the Declaration of Independence was read by a very nice gentleman (whose name I forgot to get). Then I read a few verses of the NIV version of the Bible with the theme being, “Healing Our Land”: 2Co 4:8, 16, 17 and 2Ch 7:14. It was graciously accepted by all.

After that, we had quite a bit of time before our guest speaker was to arrive, so we kind of went off schedule. I’ll try my best to recall the events as they occurred. There was a daughter, Jamie, who wanted to read something for her mother who was to speak after Jamie. What she read was awesome. It was “I Am The Nation” (I think that’s the name of it). Excellent job, Jamie.

Then her mother, Jeanne, read “The Letter” written by a life-time Democrat turned Republican turned without a party. It is an open letter sent to our officials in all offices and the press. Glen Beck read it on the air (I do not get him on my radio), and Jeanne just had to read it. I don’t blame her. It is quite remarkable letter, and you did an excellent job Jeanne.

At 1pm, we had our special guest speak. She is running for Superintendent of Schools and her name is Diane Lenning. She was remarkable. Her ancestry includes General and President of the United States George Washington. She is interested in changing the curriculum to include the true history of this great country. There were many things said, but I was impressed the most when so many answered her call to give homage to those who fought before and/or are still fighting so we could have this day. There were too many for me to keep track of while counting. I was so very proud of everyone there.

There was one young man who absolutely amazed me. He brought hope to everyone there. How did he do that? He is young, in college, well spoken, an American who happens to be black, yet people have called him a racist. Huh? Yes. This is because he believes the rule of law should apply to everyone equally or no one equally. So do I. He also believes in a free market system and wonders where are the supposed free market politicians? Twenty years old and smarter than some of the people I know. He just blew me away. So much, in fact, that I forgot to get his name of all things. I surely hope he signed in. At least I can find him through email.

On the subject of Americans who happen to be black being called racist. It occurs most of the time when it comes to illegal aliens. How is it fair that if you’re here in our country illegally that the rule of law bends over backwards for you, yet does not give two hoots about her own citizens? Everyone at the Tea Party agreed. By the way, there were Democrats and Republicans there. This was truly a nonpartisan event.

Then the man who read the Declaration spoke about the Fair Tax. After him, many people spoke their minds. There were some very good ideas bantered about. It was a breath of fresh air to hear citizens and not politicians speak. They came up with simple ways to solve our economic, social, and spiritual problems.

Some of the policies promoted were as follows:

  • 1. July 17th: Flood the 89 offices of the elected officials to let them know we do not want their health care insurance boondoggle.
  • 2. Make our elected officials aware of the consequences of their cap-and-tax…er…trade will have on every community. This was brought home by our guest, Ken, from Detroit, who has had to move here while his wife stays in Detroit for 9 years because Chryler closed. He made us aware that only Germans were allowed to work in the jobs that were lost to union workers, and they were not permitted to join a union. This is information we are not hearing from the press. Gee, I don’t wonder why.
  • 3. There was one person there, I’m sorry I did not get his name, who brought up the idea of the Fair Tax. I do not agree with this, but I allowed him to speak. After all, what if he’s right? I certainly wouldn’t disagree with shutting down the IRS!
  • 4. Our very handsome College student wants more freedom of thought in the schools. He also wants fairness. It is not okay that Liberals can rewrite history and do whatever they want, but Conservatives are held back from telling the truth and doing as they please. He just wants EQUAL freedom.
  • 5. This one is closest to my heart. This is the one which we all agreed. This day was available due to those who are in harms way to this day. We honored the Revolutionary War with their daughters and sons in attendance, we honored the War of 1812 with one of their descendants, we honored WWI with their descendants, we also honored WWII, Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq with their descendants and loved ones.

We were actually not just protesting these policies, we were there to bring alternative policies which seem to be lacking in Congress and our state of California. Some were very good, some I disagree with, but I allowed them to be discussed. Who am I to censor free speech? (I did censor any cussing and way off common sense such as name calling which gets us nowhere. Fortunately, I did not have to use it.)

If you are interested in helping us stop the movement in California by going to these 89 officials offices in person, please contact me. I am going to need much help, and this is to happen on July 17. So I do not have that much time to get ready! Especially since my next Tea Party is going to be September 12, 2009. All are welcome.

PS. IF YOU WERE THERE AND SPOKE, please e-mail me and let me know your name, what you spoke about and when you spoke. Please, for the people who’s names I forgot, let me know who you are. Also, please forgive me for this. I am truly sorry I forgot your name. How embarrassing. Mr. Video man, please let me know your name also. Sounds like I was really in charge of everything doesn’t it? NOT! D’oh!

Update: Please be advised there is more to come. A kind man who took pictures and possibly some video shots, and he is sending them to me through snail-mail as soon as they are ready. Thank you.

May you walk with the LORD always, and when you cannot take another step, may He carry you until you can walk along side Him again.

If you happen to know anyone in a neighboring area or in Long Beach, California, please encourage them to share their Independence Day with us at our Tea Party. While we celebrate the signing of the Declaration of Independence (which was actually on the 5th), we can reclaim our independence from this tyrannical government.

It doesn’t matter to them anyway, no matter which party claims you, just as long as we show up on election day. Let’s show them they are wrong. Let us proclaim it loud and clear. They’d better start listening to us now or else.

Or else what? We’ll put up our own candidates, that’s what! Hit them where it will hurt them. Job insecurity. Over at Smart Girl Politics we are working on this very thing. They want our money? We want their jobs. Are you ready to join forces with us? Join this movement that is sweeping this great country. Join us. Remember, Live Free or Die!

PS. May I recommend a site for you to check out if you do not live in this area and even if you do? The name of it is TeaPartyPatriots, and many of the people from the TaxDayTeaParty are over there now. Just thought you might like to know. Have a great day.

May you walk with the LORD always, and when you cannot take another step, may He carry you the rest of the way until you can walk along side Him again.

Independence Day is a very special day to Americans. This is the day we celebrate the signing of the Declaration of Independence. We have fireworks to remind us of “the bombs bursting in air” and allowed them to see that our flag was still there. They had no idea if we were going to win, but they would rather die to remain free than to be enslaved or imprisoned by the British. That is amazing. How many of us are willing to give all for this noble quest today?

We are at war right now, no matter who tries to deny it. Our brave men and women are out there fighting for our very lives, and I think we ought to be very grateful to them. That is why I am asking you to read what a friend of mine e-mailed me.

She collects cards and gift packages for our troops all year long. It only takes a moment, and they deserve these cards and care packages. Please respond. Show our troops they are not forgotten. Thank you so very much.

Happy Father’s Day

To all of you Dad’s out there, thank you for standing your ground and keeping your children on the right and narrow. God bless you.

To those biological fathers who do nothing, you have no right to claim this day as your own.

I love my Father so very much. Daddy, Happy Father’s Day! I know you must be having a ball. Say hello to Jesus for me. Until we meet again…

I have collected a variety of news articles for your reading pleasure. While they may be links to other sites or videos, I have been just a little too busy to get it right. I hope you enjoy it! Have a great weekend.

Here are some undercover videos from ACT! for America from mosques in the UK: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, , and Yasir Qadhi talks about ‘Dispatches – Undercover Mosques’. Bilal Philips responds to ‘Dispatches – Undercover Mosques’, Abu Usama responds to ‘Dispatches – Undercover Mosques’, Dispatches Under Cover Mosque Part 1, Dispatches Under Cover Mosque Part 2, and many more responses here. [Source: ACT! For America.]

For this week’s Flight 93 Blogburst, here is Alec’s post. Sorry, but I just got too busy. A call for America’s churches to step up as witnesses for the truth about the Flight 93 memorial. [Source: Error Theory.]

The Vets For Freedom made it into the Wall Street Journal! Here is the article: Why Obama Must Go to Iraq, By: Pete Hegseth. Their PAC promises to make sure that our troops are well served, no matter the admistration, and they will be steadfast as we come together and stand with them. God Bless Them!

As you may have figured out by now, I am sooo far behind! Here is the link to the Blogs4Borders Video Blogburst: 06/02/08.

I must share with you one of our best mibloggers who is actually on the ground in Iraq. He has been to Afghanistan as well. He knows of what he speaks, and he is pro-American–not pro-democrat nor pro-republican. Pro-American. It’s about time someone was! Here are some of the stories he has written recently: Townhall (DON’T FORGET, JOIN TOWNHALL AND GET HIS BOOK FREE!!!), An Open Offer to U.S. Senators, Great Americans: David Leimbach Comes Home. Investigation Launched, The Buck Stops, In Memory of SPC David Lee Leimbach, Memorial Day, Curiouser and curiouser and Distributor Refuses to Carry “Moment of Truth in Iraq” on Military Bases.

There is just one more video I would like to share with you. (Well, I’d like to share a lot of them, but I chose this one.) For those of us who are curious about whether or not we would have won WWII if we had the same press back then as we have today, watch this. IT IS NOT TRUE, it is a ‘what if’…You will find it at JammieWearingFool: June 6, 1944, the ‘Day of Days’. Great job guys.

Lastly, but certainly never leastly, take a moment out of your day today to remember all of those who went to war before you and for you. This is D-Day. God bless our military! Thank you, men and women of the Armed Forces. We are very grateful for your lives, no matter how long or short they have been. I also pray for our military of today. I thank God for you each day. I also pray for your protection. Keep your heads down and your powder dry. We love you. God bless you.

How does one say, ‘Thank you’ when there are no words that convey the depths of gratitude they feel? Is it enough to live up to the responsibility that comes with freedom? Is it enough to ‘Remember’? Is it enough to say, ‘Thank you’? I truly don’t know, but let me try.

All of you who came before us and fought to keep our country free, including those who fought to give us a free country, Thank you for all you have sacrificed. I pray your families and you receive all the grace and mercy there is, and God sure does have a lot! I pray we live up to your example, and we make sure totalitarianism, communism and fascism never take hold in this country. Soldier or citizen, may we fight against it and beat it down for posterity.

For the men and women of the Revolutionary War, thank you so for a country that is blessed by God, protected by men and women who understand the concept that ‘Freedom is not Free’, and we must be diligent in every aspect of our lives to keep the freedoms you have so richly blessed upon us. Thank you for the beautiful songs, the honorable Flag, your sacrifices, and your bravery.

For the men who fought in the wars after that up until the first world war, thank you for the lands so sweet and the lands so hard. The good with the bad, that is how I see these conquests. I am Indian, so I don’t like to lose. We did, you won. It is done. Thank you for coming to your senses by recognizing that without us, you may not have won the Revolutionary War! Also, thank you for the recognition that we had a pretty good government system all set up for you. Yes, I thank you and your families for your sacrifices, especially those of you who cared for my people and kept your word.

There were many wars in between the time of the Revolutionary War and the first world war, that is why I lumped them all together. The conquest of New Orleans, the war with Mexico, Wounded Knee, the War of 1812, the Civil War, the war we had with the Muslims down Africa way (Jefferson), the Trail of Tears (I forgive you), when England burned down our White House, and many more. I’m not too up on our history. That is probably something I can do for you. After all you’ve done for us, it’s the least I can do.

The First World War was awful. The way it ended was an opening for the Second World War, but you cannot trust those French people! For all of you who fought in that war, thank you for keeping us free. Thank you to the families who sacrificed so much, and thank you to the families that never were because their Daddy’s died before they could have these families.

The Second World War was one I wished we’d never see again, but we are seeing it today. As brutal as before, our enemies have no conscience, and they want to take over the world to have their caliphate. I thank you for conquering Hitler. I thank you that we are not speaking German. I thank you that you stopped the genocide of the Jewish people, the Christians, the homosexuals, the mentally ill, and all the people they were experimenting on while they were alive.

America seems to have lost her way. Now we kill babies, experiment on them, watch filth on TV, and there are so many murders everyday that it doesn’t even phase most people. They have become paralyzed by the news. I pray that we could gather our strength and knowledge from God and you so we can have a chance at winning our current war. Were your ROE so strict? Did you have to wait until they shot at you before you could shoot the enemy? No, I didn’t think so. Thank you for not waiting!

With all that is wrong in the world, there is just as much if not more that is right in this world. For this, I am so very grateful to you. Our men and women of today are outstanding, but you already know that. These are the best of the best, the bravest of the brave, and they are humble. God, I love them all so dearly. I pray for their safety and their lives. I pray for their families, too. I just wish the media would appreciate that without them, they would NOT have a job. This is the miracle country, and it is all thanks to God and you. For this I remain in debt to you forever, a debt I cannot pay but I can be a better person because you have showed me how.

Thank you, be at peace this Memorial Day (Weekend, yeah, they made it a weekend so they could go shopping instead of studying history), and know that most Americans love you and thank you. You are the doorstop between freedom and tyranny. What an awesome person to be! For those of you who have gone to Heaven, may you rest in peace. May your loved ones be cared for by this country and her people for which you gave your life (or age caught up with you, I hope).

See, it is so hard to say, “Thank you”, because one could go on and on and on and never have come up with the correct words, if there are any ‘correct’ words. I will end by saying this. Thank you for the freedom you have given us which was not free. We shall remain ever alibavigilant in order to endow upon our heirs that which you have bestowed upon us which was so costly. God bless you. God bless you.

Update: This is NOT a partisian article. When I wrote it, I was thinking only of our men and women who have served our country with honor and those who still are. There apparently have been some people who believe that McCain is not fit for the office of president because he comes from a long line of Naval Officers. So, let me see if I have this correct. People that go to Washington are claiming to do their duty by serving their district, but someone who has risked his life, spent 5 1/2 years as a POW did NOT serve our entire country? You people on the Left make me sick. Really.

Today’s news includes a prayer request from ACLJ, press attention to the Vets For Freedom, movie, newspaper article, news about town by This Ain’t Hell, But You Can See It From Here, Churchgoers attacked, and more. Let us begin.

The ACLJ (American Center for Law & Justice) has asked us to pray that four of the nine SCOTUS (Supreme Court of the United States) will agree to hear the two cases before them. These cases are related to the Ten Commandments and their display. Here are their file numbers and briefs: Pleasant Grove City v. Summum (No.07-665) and Duchesne City v. Summum (No. 07-690). This is scheduled to be heard for consideration on March 28, 2008. Thanks.

People who are regulars here already know this, but I shall bring new readers up-to-date. Vets For Freedom is a fine organization of Military personnel who have been touring the States. They started in San Diego, CA, and they shall end up in Washington, DC. on April 8, 2008, the same day General Petreaus is to report to Congress. They will be there to support him and their brothers at arms who are still in theatre. The media has finally began to take notice. Here are the beginnings of a few articles:

Almost the entire, years-long debate over the American military’s presence in Iraq has been waged as though the soldiers themselves were not in the room.

And, usually, for good reason . . . they weren’t in the room. By and large, policy makers on both left and right rarely have thought to ask the very people who have served on the front lines for their opinion.

That has changed. Maybe nobody’s asking, but the soldiers are telling, like it or not. [Continue reading.]

Here is one more article from Vets For Freedom. It is a rather a sad state of affairs, I’ll bet almost anything they’d make way for Mr. Wright were he to have been the invited.

Forest Lake event canceled; too political.
Forest Lake High’s principal said the decision was spurred by concerns that the presentation was more political than educational.

A national tour featuring decorated veterans from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan won’t be stopping at Forest Lake Area High School today as planned, after school leaders abruptly canceled the visit.

Steve Massey, the school principal, said the decision to cancel was prompted by concerns that the event was becoming political rather than educational and therefore was not suitable for a public school.

He said the school had received several phone calls from parents and others, some of whom indicated that they may stage a protest if the event took place.

“The event was structured to be an academic classroom discussion around military service. We thought we’d provide an opportunity for kids to learn about service in the context of our history classes,” Massey said. “As the day progressed, it became clear that this was becoming a political event … which would be inappropriate in a public setting.

“We decided to cancel,” Massey said. Organizers of the National Heroes Tour then scrambled to relocate the event to the American Legion building in Forest Lake. The visit, which U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Stillwater, had been scheduled to attend, is sponsored by Vets for Freedom, a national organization run by Pete Hegseth, a 1999 graduate of Forest Lake Area High School who served with the 101st Airborne in Iraq in 2005-06.

“I think it’s extremely unfortunate that a school would bow to the political pressure of outside groups and not bring in a veterans organization,” Hegseth said. “Are we saying that patriotism and duty and honor have no place in our public schools?” So far, the tour has visited one school, albeit a private school.

The stop in Forest Lake was supposed to involve about 150 social studies students and was going to be closed to the public but open to the media. But the last-minute venue change left Hegseth wondering how many people would actually show up today.

“I don’t know if we’ll have a crowd,” he said. “We changed venues, but we don’t have the ability to publicize it.” He said he had talked with school officials ahead of time and assured them that the presenters would not make any political statements.

“We had a number of conversations at the beginning of this to make sure our message was in keeping with the traditions of a public school,” Hegseth said.

“We have not endorsed a presidential candidate. We’re not in the business of doing that.” According to the Veterans for Freedom website, the national tour “is about supporting our troops, honoring their commitment and rallying the country to complete the missions in Iraq and Afghanistan.

At this critical juncture in our country, we need Americans, lawmakers and the media to fully recognize — and appreciate — the sacrifice of our brave military and the dramatic success they have achieved, especially in Iraq with the new counterinsurgency strategy.”

When asked whether the part about “rallying the country to complete the missions in Iraq and Afghanistan” could indeed be construed as political, Hegseth said that the group agreed not to advocate about the “progress made in Iraq and Afghanistan.”

“It’s Iraq and Afghan veterans talking about what they saw and what they did there, and about what it means to put on the uniform of your country,” he said. The veterans started their bus tour in San Diego on March 14 and will end April 9 in New York City.

I copied the whole article, because these articles have a funny way of disappearing. Yes, it is quite odd how they do that. They have the stones to put them out there in the first place. They should have the stones to carry through with their invitation. Political my arse.

Please go over to their site to check on the progress and successes of their tour and if you can, please make a donation of any amount to help them. If you know any Iraq/Afghanistan Vets, let them about this site. They are always looking for more members. Right now they have stations in 44 states and 21,000 members. They are all focused on getting their message out, “LET THEM WIN”, and they are also trying to help their brothers and sisters at arms. Thanks.

I also have some links from some articles over at This ain’t Hell, but you can see it from here. Berserkers attack Easter Mass and blogger is about a groups of idiots who thought that attacking a Church on Easter Day was a cool thing to do. It is also covered by The Chickenhawk Express, Gateway Pundit, and Scott at Flopping Aces. Midnight Blue was attacked by these animals, and the report of her attack is over at the Free Republic. In case you are wondering, yes, these were war-protesters. Please check out these (new) sites articles. They are each unique, and they are all well written. They did a very good job on this situation whereas I am about to blow my top. Thank you Chickenhawk Express, Gateway Pundit, Scott, Michelle, and Hot Air!

Update: Uh-oh, Michele Malkin is on it. They’re in for it now.

Update: Hot Air has the latest and video on the Chicago felons.

Such peaceful people, eh?

Next he has written about Preaching to the choir. Would you like to guess which choir? Why it’s Otis Moss! Wright’s replacement, but not to worry. They all sing the same tune, and Obama refuses to leave this racist church. Hmm. I guess that answers all I need to know about someone who claims a desire to unite the citizens of the United States. Would that be only the black people, by any chance? Did he actually state which country he wants to unite? (John has written a very article about the above article. Go check it out.)

Now for the story I was searching for so that we can end on a good note: Counterprotest in Berkeley. Everyone (except me) has a very good post about this event. Please check out some of the pictures and articles. He has several links. It is always good to know we still outnumber the freaks! Have a great day. ;)

He is Risen!

“The angel said to the women, ‘Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, Who was crucified. He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.’” Matthew 28:5-6

Christ, the Lord, is risen today, Alleluia!
Sons of men and angels say, Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia!
Sing, ye heavens, and earth, reply, Alleluia!

Love’s redeeming work is done, Alleluia!
Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia!
Lo! the Sun’s eclipse is over, Alleluia!
Lo! He sets in blood no more, Alleluia!

Vain the stone, the watch, the seal, Alleluia!
Christ hath burst the gates of hell, Alleluia!
Death in vain forbids His rise, Alleluia!
Christ hath opened paradise, Alleluia!

Lives again our glorious King, Alleluia!
Where, O death, is now thy sting? Alleluia!
Once He died our souls to save, Alleluia!
Where thy victory, O grave? Alleluia!

Soar we now where Christ hath led, Alleluia!
Following our exalted Head, Alleluia!
Made like Him, like Him we rise, Alleluia!
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Alleluia!

Hail, the Lord of earth and Heaven, Alleluia!
Praise to Thee by both be given, Alleluia!
Thee we greet triumphant now, Alleluia!
Hail, the resurrection, thou, Alleluia!

King of glory, Soul of bliss, Alleluia!
Everlasting life is this, Alleluia!
Thee to know, Thy power to prove, Alleluia!
Thus to sing and thus to love, Alleluia!

Hymns of praise then let us sing, Alleluia!
Unto Christ, our heavenly King, Alleluia!
Who endured the cross and grave, Alleluia!
Sinners to redeem and save. Alleluia!

But the pains that He endured, Alleluia!
Our salvation have procured, Alleluia!
Now above the sky He’s King, Alleluia!
Where the angels ever sing. Alleluia!

Jesus Christ is risen today, Alleluia!
Our triumphant holy day, Alleluia!
Who did once upon the cross, Alleluia!
Suffer to redeem our loss. Alleluia!
