“Our new Constitution is now established, and has an appearance that promises permanency; but in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.”
–Benjamin Franklin (letter to Jean-Baptiste Leroy, 13 November 1789); Reference: The Works of Benjamin Franklin, Begelow, ed., vol. 12 (161)
If somehow we could eliminate taxes, then there would only be one thing left with certainty…death. But wait! If when we die, are we truly dead? Are you certain what is going to happen to you after you die? If you are a Christian, you are certain. If you are not, please read your Bible more and stop listening to the world so much. If you are not a Christian, may I inquire as to why not?
Do you think being a Christian reduces your fun and free spirit? I beg to differ! It is by being Christian that we truly are set free, and boy! Do we have more fun than you will ever understand. Is it because you feel you have done something so terrible that you can never be forgiven? My dear child, of the people being cruxified aside Christ was a murderer. He was accepted into Heaven. Why? Because he accepted Christ as his Lord and Saviour. He understood. There is nothing so wrong, nothing so secret, nothing so hateful, nothing so terrible that can tear away God’s love for us. Come join the Living. Please.
I will probably not writing another post today, because I shall be working (yes again) on moving my other sites posts over to here and Rosemary’s Thoughts. I only have 7331 posts to go! (Arghh!)
